How do I update an allergen in my profile from “no reaction” to “allergic”?Updated 2 months ago

*If you are on the “New” Version* (“Version: New” or "Your App is Up to Date" appears in your profile when you click the main icon on the homepage)

Follow these steps to mark an allergic reaction to a food that was previously introduced without a reaction:

1. Click into your "Today" tab
2. Scroll down to "Allergens introduced" and click "View all"
3. Click "Try again" next to the allergen
4 Click the "Progress" button on your "Today" tab
5. Scroll down to "My Progress" where all of the skill paths are listed
6. Click into the skill path you are currently working in and click "Keep going"
7. Choose the allergen to introduce under "New Allergens" at the top to add its meals to your meal plan.
8. Choose "Baby had a reaction?" under the allergen introduction recipes in your "My Meals" to note an allergic reaction

*If you are on the “Old” Version* (“Version: Old” appears in your profile when you click the main icon on the homepage)

If you have identified a food allergy after the allergen has the status of "Done" within the baby profile, unfortunately it is not possible to edit the status to "Allergic." (However, this is something that you can do in the "new" version! Learn how to switch to the "new" version here.) In this case, you would need to create a new baby profile and essentially start all over again, losing any data you had on your current profile, as that won't sync to the new one.

*Note: you can still filter out meals containing allergens in the “Meals” tab by clicking on “All Meals” at the top, and tapping into “Sort & Filters” to select your preferred search criteria.

In case helpful, some substitution ideas for some common food allergens include:

Dairy: The most nutrient-dense plant-based milk options are fortified soy milk, fortified pea protein milk, and fortified oat milks. When selecting plant-based milk alternatives, aim to choose unsweetened versions when possible, as many have sugars added to make them taste a bit more like cow's milk. More here:
